Hidup Benar Menurut Kitab Amsal dan Implikasinya bagi Pendidikan Kristen Masa Kini

21st-century Christian education faces a critical dichotomy between the demand for academic excellence and the mandate for character formation, exacerbated by the currents of globalization. This research stems from the urgent need for a theological foundation and pedagogical framework that can integrate faith and knowledge. Using a literature study method with a descriptive-analytical approach to the text of the Book of Proverbs, this research aims to: first, identify the constituent elements of the concept of "righteous living," and second, reconstruct it into a coherent educational paradigm. The results reveal that "righteous living" in Proverbs is a holistic system encompassing spiritual (fear of the LORD), moral, and practical dimensions. A synthesis of these findings successfully produced an integrative pedagogical framework that reconstructs educational goals, the role of educators, teaching methods, and curriculum content. Thus, this research not only offers a profound theological understanding but also provides an operational response to the dichotomy experienced in Christian education through an educational model that transforms students into individuals who are both academically competent and of noble character and social responsibility.
Abstrak
Pendidikan Kristen abad ke-21 menghadapi dikotomi kritis antara tuntutan keunggulan akademis dan mandat pembentukan karakter, yang diperparah oleh arus globalisasi. Penelitian ini berangkat dari kebutuhan mendesak akan sebuah fondasi teologis dan kerangka pedagogis yang dapat mengintegrasikan iman dan ilmu pengetahuan. Melalui metode studi pustaka dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis terhadap teks Kitab Amsal, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: pertama, mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur konstituen konsep "hidup benar", dan kedua, merekonstruksinya menjadi sebuah paradigma pendidikan yang koheren. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa "hidup benar" dalam Amsal merupakan sebuah sistem holistik yang mencakup dimensi spiritual (takut akan TUHAN), moral, dan praksis. Sintesis atas temuan ini berhasil menghasilkan sebuah kerangka pedagogis integratif yang merekonstruksi tujuan pendidikan, peran pendidik, metode pengajaran, dan konten kurikulum. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini tidak hanya menawarkan pemahaman teologis yang mendalam, tetapi juga memberikan jawaban operasional atas dikotomi yang dialami pendidikan Kristen melalui sebuah model pendidikan yang mentransformasikan peserta didik menjadi pribadi yang cakap akademis sekaligus berkarakter luhur dan bertanggung jawab sosial.
