Dinamika Relasi Guru-Murid: Reinterpretasi Konsep Discipleship dalam Menanggapi Krisis Karakter di Lingkungan Sekolah

The crisis of student character in schools manifests itself as resistance toward teachers, rooted in the failure of pedagogical relationships that tend to be instructional and legalistic. This study aims to: first, analyze the root causes of the student character crisis in relation to teachers through a theological-pedagogical lens; second, reinterpret the concept of discipleship as an alternative relational model in formal schools; and third, formulate a relational-transformative framework for Christian Religious Ed-ucation teachers in building spiritual closeness with students to mitigate resistant behavior. The meth-od used is a literature review examining relevant academic literature. The findings indicate that charac-ter restoration does not occur through disciplinary control, but rather through relationships that posi-tion the teacher as a disciple living in love, exemplary conduct, accompaniment, and contextual faith reflection. This study affirms that schools must be understood as spaces of discipleship that build char-acter through restorative relationships, while simultaneously encouraging teachers and educational in-stitutions to develop relational approaches as a response to the contemporary character crisis.
Abstrak
Krisis karakter murid di sekolah muncul dalam bentuk resistensi terhadap guru yang berakar pada kegagalan relasi pedagogis yang cenderung instruksional dan legalistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan: pertama, menganalisis akar penyebab krisis karakter murid dalam relasi dengan guru melalui kacamata teologis-pedagogis; kedua, mereinterpretasi konsep discipleship sebagai model relasi alternatif di sekolah formal; dan ketiga, merumuskan kerangka model relasional-transformatif bagi guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam membangun kedekatan spiritual dengan murid guna memitigasi perilaku resistensi. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan menelaah literatur akademik yang relevan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pemulihan karakter tidak terjadi melalui kontrol disiplin, melainkan melalui relasi yang menghadirkan guru sebagai pemurid yang hidup dalam kasih, keteladanan, pendampingan, dan refleksi iman kontekstual. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa sekolah perlu dipahami sebagai ruang pemuridan yang membangun karakter melalui relasi yang memulihkan, sekaligus mendorong guru dan institusi pendidikan mengembangkan pendekatan relasional sebagai respons terhadap krisis karakter kontemporer.
