Kaum Pentakosta dan Bahasa Lidah: Kajian Teologis sebagai Sarana Membangun Stamina Doa
Keywords:
Pentecostal, Tongues, Prayer, Holy Spirit, SpiritualityAbstract
This research is motivated by the increasing attention to the practice of tongues in the Pentecostal tradition as a means of building prayer stamina, as well as the emergence of praxis deviations such as the commercialization of gifts and excessive symbolic meaning. Using the qualitative method of literature study, this study examines the theological, psychological, and neurotheological literature related to the function of glossolalia in prayer. The purpose of this research is to explain the theological basis and scientific findings that support the role of tongues in strengthening prayer perseverance. The results of the study show that tongue language is understood as prayer mediated by the Holy Spirit and is supported by findings of religious psychology and neurotheology that associate it with increased emotional regulation and prayer duration. This study concludes that tongue language has significant potential in building prayer stamina if practiced in a healthy and responsible manner.
